Przegląd Muzykologiczny

[Musicological Review]

In 2001–2015 this annual publication of the Institute of Musicology, University of Warsaw, was a scholarly forum of the biggest musicological institution in Poland.

The main aim of the periodical was to present the research carried out by the employees from all of the Institute’s units as well as its doctoral, graduate and undergraduate students. The topics of the published papers ranged from general music history and history of Polish music (from the Middle Ages until the twentieth century), music theory and aesthetics, acoustics, musical anthropology and archaeology, as well as Polish and foreign ethnomusicology. A separate section of the journal reflected the international cooperation of the Institute – by featuring papers by foreign authors. Being trade journal, Przegląd Muzykologiczny was nevertheless also addressed to a broader readership in Poland and abroad, people interested in the various fields of contemporary musicology.
